Dear Kay Lewis.

I think your mom has decided to go and the only way out is keeping all food and drink away from her. No matter how hard it is for all those around her, I am sure she will go in a peaceful way. I tend to respect the way each one of us is deciding on how to leave from Here to another world , that is to say : ..if they can decide that. I wish you peace of mind in

these last hours, xx anne baer

I cannot do that, I offer fluid and food when awake but I don’t keep pushing her with it if she refuses. Thankyou.

Yes. Chris decided to stop eating or drinking. I knew his views and agreed with them but found it so hard when the time came.

He had a painless and peaceful passing.

My heart goes out to you.

Love and a big hug from Jean x

If possible try to use an eye dropper or small sponge to keep her mouth from drying out. We used what I call lollipop sponges the last few days for dad. He would open his mouth for them.

Unfortunately yes I have. Like Jean has said, my husband's passing was very peaceful, with his family around him. Hold your Mum as much as you can, tell her you love her and its alright to let go. It is the only thing you can do. For the first time, although PSP has won, she is in control. That gave me a lot of comfort knowing that. i hope it does for you as well.

Sending big hug and much love at this difficult time.

Lots of love

Anne
