Solution to buttering toast?

Hi All, especially Patrick,

Borrowed this contraption when I broke my wrist, and recently when I had a finger operated on. Toast was difficult for me too!

This plastic board sits on the edge of the bench, or on edge of board as here. Toast placed like so and buttered with right hand does not run away when butter spread. Can also be used left handed.

Am sure you could rig up a set of right angled wood bits, or even an old (clean!) picture frame so that it stops the toast from running away.

Big Hugs everyone!

Yep. Getting there. Have a fat sausage finger for time being, but it bends! Off to Physio today to work on tendons. Still can't tell the world what I think of PSP/CBD in the traditional way!!!

Guessing you are rear left on photo?

Hugs to you and Liz!

Yup, that's me. Rabbit in the headlights :)

I'll pass hugs on to Liz... She remembers you well and she will like that.

Do look after yourself. You are a wonderful person. Quite inspiring.

Amazing the aids you can get to help, enjoy the toast. Is that with just butter, jam or marmite?

But oh, the joy of home made bread, toasted and good butter, marmalade and a pot of tea. :)

Hugs to you Kiwi / Brit.

Hi Jen,

What a wonderful 'gizmo'... never saw such a thing. So very clever!

I am in need of a 'gizmo' to turn fried eggs... some fly threw the air & hit the wall or land on the floor. Hubby will come to my aid but l forget to ask... & the dog is happy to be in charge of clean up.

Sending hugs... Granni B

You could try the 'half pan' I have seen advertised for turning omelettes! At least when you turn the pan over, it will stay inside. If you get one, you'd better get more dog food too!!

All fixed now. Post is a year or so old!

Found the contraption useful twice so far! Wrist and finger. Was going to pass it back to the owner, but now may need shoulder surgery! So will see.

Silly accident. Bottom dropped out of cardboard box I had lifted. Recoil as I grabbed tighter has done more damage!!

Doesn't hurt as much now but restricts a lot of my movements. And it's Left shoulder - again - and I am left handed!.

So now I have to wait and see!!
