That Smile

Charles has been taking Trazadone to sleep and it has helped his cognition. Not the speaking ability but overall brain is working a bit better. Saturday was almost "normal". We ate, drank, watched basketball on TV and enjoyed the day. Which is what we would have done if he didn't have PSP.

BUT THEN, the coughing started again with a vengeance!! He thinks its in his lungs again.

Anyway, I'm grateful and mentally I'm calmer, but I haven't given in yet.

Heartbroken but still standing!

Love to all my friends,

Cuttercat

Hi beautiful lady you are very strong, don’t you just hate psp, George is the same, not eating his dinner after coughing, I don’t blame him at all, he is not talking to anyone at the moment, so hard. So happy you had a amazing day, hopefully more to come. Yvonne xxxxx

You will keep standing CC, I have no doubt about that. Glad you had a good day on Saturday. There are times when PSP allows "normal"! Enjoy it when you can.

Lots of love

Hi Cuttercat

What can I say?

We are going through the same - the long heartbreak.

Hugs to you.

You will get through.

Warmly

Kevin

PS Sorry these words are so thin. We are there too. All I can do is try to keep care standards high and keep giving love. It seems so little. It's all I can do.

Feeling helpless... but determined.

Thanks Jean

Things are going very well at the moment.

Liz is now reaching out to me emotionally for the first time in a a long time. I sit and read to her and she holds my hand.

Wishing you the best too.

Hugs

I appreciate the continued sharing of changes (better and worst) with Charles.....and your thoughts of what is causing it.

I wish my son was still here. He was never put on TRAZADONE.

Blessings and prayers

Hi,

I would be interested to know the dosage...........

I have been taking 100mg for the past 6 months at bedtime.

Cheers,

Patrick.

Only 50 mg I'm afraid and it makes him almost catatonic the next morning. Not good but not impulsive and more responsive.

Well it sounds like you had a pretty good day....Make sure it is NOT in his lungs....if he thinks it is, it is.... If he is prone to pneumonia, you might want talk to the dr about an open prescription to antibiotics; though I'm not sure dr can do that......

Anyway I hope you have many more wonderful days

What wonderful news! A beautiful ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy horizon! I am elated that you and Charles had a pleasant day together, and will pray it is the beginning of more quality time together. Sending big hugs!

Hi Cuttercat, lovely to hear you and Charles had a 'normal' time together just like pre PSP. Hope you get many more lovely times together.

Lots of love, Nanny857 xx
