Thanks for all your replies, that is the beauty of this site.

I have pursued funding both with wheelchair services and CHC, who have funded the hoist, but things have really tightened up now everyone is looking at their budgets, i also now think that whoever gets in next week the barstewards will be wanting more of our money so its going to be spent especially if it makes life easier!

Allocation of funds is not uniform, we have all experienced this, and just another aspect that makes this role so stressful

Its so wrong isn't it ,its a NATIONAL Health Service and should be the same rules for everyone not a post code lottery .I certainly know who I am not voting for this week .If I hear the words "strong and stable" once more I shall throw up !
