Good news yesterday we have been granted CHC for DC, the bad news is the chap came today minus the hoist arrh none in stock! The alarm they sent wasn't suitable either. It was supposed to alert me if he gets out bed but no they sent one to alert the call centre straight away. Back to the drawing board.

Congrats👍 My mantra is the caring can be ok but the system always lets you down across the board. We are having a single carer ceiling hoist put in, amazing bit of kit , OT has done all the paperwork what's holding it up ? CHC funding to be agreed!!!! Luckily I now know the ropes so started the process in plenty of time.

Great news on funding.
Sounds a familiar story with equipment, I bang my head against the wall daily trying to get stuff sorted. Do they not realise how quickly things can change and equipment is needed. Drives me insane
I agree guess it will all start again tomorrow, trying to get equipment and DC home.
