Good morning everyone, need some suggestions on a major problem having with my brother, to start he was having problems staying put on the pot so finally got it out of him that he was not comfortable and that the rim hurt his legs so ordered him a portal potty that is built like a wheel chair with wheels and padded, that seemed to work for a week as he was also falling off the other one now he has become very restless he whiggles try's to go up and down on the pot gets poo all over the place, half the time he says he has to go and then he cannot he is in depends, wheel chair bound and bed lost so much weight even tho he eats good has a good appetite. Just seems like he has progressed down hill in the last two months, so with all said the portapotty? Nettie

Nettie George is exactly the same, we could be in the loo so many times a day, we use a portable camode over the toilet, he can hold on to the arms of it, seems to work, George has also gone down in the last couple of months, it is so sad. Could you ask the OT to come in and give some advice? Xxxxx

Occupational therapists may have things that will help him feel confident on the pot....Though quite frankly the pot on wheels may be best bet......also you might ask his gp for anti anxiety meds or something that might keep him calm ....

I'm sorry I got nothin but good luck.....maybe a crossword puzzle.... :0

Hi Nettie

Can you get an OT in?

In the UK just call Social Services and stress he is in danger and its urgent.

We have been through a range of different products as the illness progressed. I would go out and buy whatever seemed right after looking at loads of stuff online.

However we have an OT involved now and they are great at knowing the different products, assessing the problem and then sending the whatever around 'on loan'.

Hope you find what you need.

Warmly

Kevin
