This sounds like a 111 call if she has no previous history.

Many things can cause this - such as a urinary infection (Cloudy and or strong smelling urine). And many other more serious conditions.

Fits are serious symptoms

I would strongly suggest, if there is no previous history, they need checking medically ASAP.

It might turn out to be nothing.

Sorry to be so strong on this one.

Wishing you well.

Hi. I was looking after a gentleman who had same episodes, alwas when we were about to move him - transfer him.

Sometimes he had these episodes 3/4 times a day for few months and then nothing for few months. Over the years we tried to find a pattern, but there was none. Talked to the neurologist and he said, it usually happens with transfers - when the blood pressure drops ( not enough oxygen get to the brain that moment - it can happens to all of us - when we quickly get up and get dizzy ) or it can be caused by sinemet ( the yellow tablet) .

We reduced the sinemet, but same kept happening.

What helped him, or reduced these episodes, Was being carefull when trying to stand up - we got him up half wayup, and then sit him down, him taking a deep breaths., waited for 30 seconds and then we started a stransfers again. We learnt lessons, that once standing - always wait for a bit before making tirst steps, ( because if the " seisure comes" at least you have a chair or bed behind the client just in case, to gently sit her Down.

We mentioned it to GP, other specialists, but noone took it seriously or did anything about it. We carers had to be more caureful w hen moving.

The client wanted us to record him when having these "seizures" , because he never remembered he had one, and wanted to know why such a fuss we doing about it , plus he wanted it for his neurologist tonsee it. But because it always happened so unexpectedly, the priority was to keep him safe and we never had phones with us to record when it happened. So we never got around to it.

But of course, as your duty as a carer, you have to inform Gp and any specialist about it, they might give different solutions.

Hope i helped a bit. If you get a different advice or anyting that help, let us know, because it would be helpfull to know for the future.

My mum has CBD and had a seizure last week. She was admitted into hospital but they aren't sure what caused it. They say it was either an infection as suspected UTi or just one of those things part of condition.

I spoke to the parkinsons nurse and she said there is something called a fever fit as Mum has recorded some low grade fevers after being admitted but hadn't shown signs of temperature prior to the seizure.

I'd get some medical advice

They ...(the medical community) know so little of these diseases ...ie PSP,CBD, that they will include or debunk anything ..I read extensively and Nowhere have I read that tremors or seizures are part of PSP...... Thats a Parkinsons "thing"..Does she dream while the seizures accure ? What does your Nuero person say ? Most Park victims dream scary dreams and that can cause a reaction like you are referring to.....good luck with your battle ...jeff
