Thank you for the replies I received re having Botox injections to help with droopy eyelids. My mum had the injections last Monday and I'm happy to report that they have worked. Her eyelids are no longer dropping involuntarily. I'm not sure how long it will last but it's a welcome relief for her. She said it didn't hurt and so far has not had any side effects.

We are over the moon. It's not often something works in this never ending conveyor belt of new symptoms and experimental medication brought on by this awful confounded disease.

Congratuation to the both of you and good for her. My husband also mildly suffers from this. However when his eyes are open he is affected from the light so one or the other for us...

Is she able to blink properly? Again I am happy for her to be able to see; and for you to have done something that resulted in positive result....

Mum can blink properly but she does suffer from glare and wears big black sun blocker glasses even when watching to.

She also suffers from weepy eyes on occasion . It's a minefield isn't it?!

Glad it's worked must be a relief ,my husband not there yet but he does suffer in bright light so wears dark glasses x

Hi I think I was lucky. When I went to see consultant they agreed to lift Pat's eyelids has made such a difference. They may do your mum's you can only try.

So glad to hear that. The length of time for the Botox's effectiveness depends on how units was injected. Results can last anywhere from 2-3 months. daddyt
