So sorry for your loss. I know we are headed down that road too . Some soon ,others later. I try not to think about it too much and will deal with it when it happens. Making the most of the time we have. Glad to hear you are still willing to share and that this community has been a support to you. Still here for you if you need to talk. hugs and peace to you.

Now you must grieve but also re-start your life on hold for so long caring for your loved one. Recharge and wrap your family round you.

Best wishes Tim

So sorry for your loss. My dad has had PSP for a number of years now and we have been told he's in the late stages. I'm not sure what the late stages really are and what to expect will he eventually need a peg to be fed or is every case different? X

Every case is different, I believe. The issue of PEG feeding is a major one. Best to be prepared with a decision on that before it is imposed on you. There is a lot of information available on this site if you use the search function. Best wishes, Eastercedar

We're so similar. My wife died on 7-9-2016 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's on 1-5-2010 and later with PSP in March 2011. And we were married for 35 years. She was only 54. My heart still aches. I guess it will for the rest of my life.

Take good care of yourself. God bless you.

So sorry for your loss. I rarely posted myself but took comfort from everyone on this site knowing you were not alone. I have just come back from a funeral of a lovely lady who had PSP. My husband is 70 and has PSP since 2006. At present he is in hospital with a second dislocated shoulder in 8 weeks. I am waiting for help at home. His speech swallow mobility and eyes slowly getting worse. He is in total denial so it is very hard to bring help into the home but at this stage I have to be strong and demand help. I feel so sorry for him but it is so hard when he keeps saying there is nothing wrong with him. I would like to know how you coped and did Ben go downhill very quickly. Once again so sorry for your loss I send a BIG HUG xxx

I have just found your post. I am new on here and not sure what I am doing half the time!

I am so sorry you have lost your loved one. Although he is now free of it and you can rest? Please post more. You have been through it and can help those of us facing it. We all need each other to battle this evil condition.

I hope you are taking care of yourself and remembering the good times.

Much love.
