Hampton court flower show
What a lovely picture of you both. I'm so pleased you had such a lovely time. Until 3 years ago, it was a regular annual trip with 2 friends. We went many years running and it never rained. How I miss it. Did you come home laden with plants and garden equipment? We loved coming home by train as the carriages were always full of plants and everyone spoke to each other. Memories!
Happy gardening!

How lovely to read this post. You appear to be in the early stages like my husband Jon. I read posts on this forum every day and mostly read about what is still down the road for us which can be a bit depressing despite all the positive attitudes and responses. We are still managing without major change to the way we live, and I can leave Jon alone at home safely for several hours to keep up with my own activities.
we are still able to get out and about reasonably easily - that could have been us in the photo - and are determined to do as much as ever we can before his mobility prevents it. As regards symptoms he does the coughing thing frequently while eating or drinking, walks very badly and slowly, sleeps a lot in his chair, has difficulty reading and making sense of what he reads, and is getting "fuzzy" - has difficulty telling me what a phone call is about for example. But hey, compared with what others are going through, we count our blessings and make the most of what we have right now.
The most bizarre thing happened recently I came home to find him in his chair with a lump of cheese and a knife on a plate beside him as well as "my" butter dish - he always uses spread himself. Explanation was that someone visited and he had offered them cheese to eat and then they disappeared. Didn't know who it was and had to agree that it probably was a vivid dream. The new thing about it is that it looks as though he might have actually acted out a dream. I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience?
I just wanted to write to someone who appears to be in a similar situation. Lovely to hear about your trip.
All the best
Rosemary
Thank you rosemary, my husband is in a wheelchair now, he is at a centre on Fridays and Monday's so I manage to get out on those days, with help when I am late home, which I appreciate so much from my lovely family, and careers, would of been lovely to take George but he would not of been able to cope. Glad you are still managing to do things together Yvonne xxxxxx
