It’s PSP Awareness Week 16-22 May

Next week will see thousands of PSPA supporters around the UK taking our ‘red flags’ action for PSP Awareness Week (16 to 22 May).

PSPA has created a PSP Red Flags for GPs document and we’re urging supporters to hand over copies to their GPs and other health and social care professionals. This single-sided A4 poster lists 10 red flag symptoms that may help GPs spot warning signs that raise clinical suspicion of PSP.

We are targeting GPs with this year’s PSP Awareness Week campaign as we know they often find it difficult to spot symptoms of PSP and may not have come across the disease before. Sadly, this often means people receive a delayed diagnosis, or are misdiagnosed.

Gave mine to my GP who was aware of dads diagnosis but didn't know lots about it. Hope we can all raise awareness everywhere. I have badge pins and wrist band which I offer to people who in return generally make a kind donation. Which will all be forwarded to PSPA. I will never stop informing others. It's 8 weeks since my wonderful father passed away and my heart is aching xxxx
