Hi Jill. Do you know when the committee met? I heard we had got it by phone the day after the panel met but we are in Kent. I'd give Social Services a ring if I were you. I do hope you are successful, it does make so much difference to us.

Best wishes Nanna B

Didn't get there this morning Jill. I find it a job to get there by 10am but we are listening to Premier Christian radio at the moment and going for a wheelchair walk in a minute. I have a group from our church coming here on Tuesday evening for prayer, communion and a laugh as well.

Have a good Sunday.

Best of luck - it seems to be a bit of a lottery - if you don't get it there is no justice in this world. Perhaps we should ask Mr Duncan Smith to come and be a carer for a week or so - bet he would lose the rest of his hair !

Hi Jill, hopefully you will get the funding with no problems. My mum had 11hrs funding then unfortunately had a bad fall and was hospitalised (she was living alone) Mums CHC funding had to be increased to release her so sadly it took the fall to increase the help. My sister and I also follow up on all appointments and angles possible as you have to nag at times to get things done. They have also very recently brought out a new, supposedly more objective means of determining funding levels but as its new if you are unhappy with your assessment then ask for it to be re-checked. It's not very nice to play on your condition or things you are struggling with but sadly you have to. Mum has now been allocated 34hrs a week but we are still waiting for her support plan to be finalised. If you want any more tips or advice on this Jill I'm more than happy to help as I've been handling all the paperwork for my mum. I've also referred mum to continence clinics (suprisingly not standard procedure for psp sufferers it seems) for advice on frequent urination and constipation etc and mum has been having acupuncture for pain relief.

Good luck Jill :)
