Hi everyone,

Lost my uncle on 1st of September to PSP just has the morning was starting to begin, I was his carer and i miss him so so much every single day, not a day has gone by that i haven't cried for him, he was a huge part of my life like a father to me. i know he is at peace now and free from that horrible disease, as my life goes on without him he will always be with me in my heart. I love you Tom xx

Hi Trice268, I'm so sorry your dear uncle has left you but he is now at peace and free from this horrible disease. You will think of him every day for a long time and when the pain eases something will happen and you will think, Oh I must tell Tom that, only to remember he isn't here any more and the tears will start again. I'm sure Tom would want you to live your life to the full now after all you did for him. PSP has taken him, I hope you can soon start doing all those things you would have done had PSP not entered your lives.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, really sorry to hear about the death of your uncle. My thoughts are with you at this trying time. I think this is the biggest hurdle that "good olde PSP" throws at us. Learning to live without our loved one. You and your uncle got over the rest and you WILL get over this one. Keep thinking about the love you had for Tom and he will help you over!

Lots of love

Hello Tom ,

I too lost some one in my case my brother this August. Like you not a day goes by that he isn't thought about and a tear is shed. I have looked at all his photographs over many years. He was 65 when he died. It was a shock to see how long he had battled with psp and how bravely. Some very kind words were left when I posted his death that my brother has earned the right to have the best place in the house and so has your uncle.

Take care of yourself

Love pollyannajo

Trice, I feel your grief having lost my dear wife in May this year. Yesterday would have been our 25th anniversary. Hang in there and please continue on this site. You and I can be a help and support to those still fighting PSP. Jimbo

Hi, I am so sorry for your loss and having lost my husband to PSP last December I know how you miss your loved one everyday and losing them does leave a big hole in your life but I am sure your Uncle knew how well you cared for him and would want you to look after yourself now. Best Wishes and thinking of you.

Hello Trice -

Thank you for sharing with us - I hope you are beginning to lose the hurting feeling. The old cliche - time heals - it took me a year before life seemed "normal" again, but know that we are thinking of you.
