did anyone have relief for a stiff neck using baclofen,thank-you,Rollie

Hi nomansland. My husband seemed to have enjoyed some relief from neck stiffness with baclofen. At first it was prescribed 4x a day, at a dosage of 10 mg, I think. Later, as the disease progressed, we upped the dosage to 15 mg, 4x a day. Eventually, of course, he was unable to swallow at which time all non-liquid meds were stopped and he was given comfort meds only. As far as we could tell, the only side effects of the baclofen for him was constipation, which we dealt with in other ways.

And, in fact, I was prescribed baclofen when my own back began to spasm (and, of course, this just HAD to happen during my husband's decline). The baclofen helped me immensely and I was moving around well after only 2 days of bed rest.

My husband had baclofen (not for spasms, just general relaxation) - don't know whether it helped, but no side-effects either.
