Prostatectomy
I was scared to death to hear that I had cancer. My Father died from it. There was no offer for chemotherapy or radiation. I was told that my doctor needed more experience with the DaVinci robot and I was chosen. I died that day and was traumatized beyond traumatized and purposely given ecoli and regretted

Had appt with urologist, although already stated no surgery
Had appt and the urologist seemed to he trying to persuade me to have
prostatectomy
although I was clear at diagnosis no surgery primarily due to incontinence issues. He said permanent incontinence occurred in less than 5% of cases, I disagreed and said 10/15% is nearer the mark am I correct?

Out of town prostatectomy
For those that have had a
prostatectomy
out of state, who did most of the follow-up? Did you have a local urologist too? I suspect a local urologist would be hesitant to follow up on a patient whom had his surgery done by someone else.

Chronic pain after prostatectomy
My friend had robotic
prostatectomy
in May 2019. In the almost 5 years since he has experienced daily abdominal pain. He has seen numerous doctors but none of them have been able to diagnose the source of the pain. He is an invalid due to this problem. Does anyone else know of a similar case?

Open or Robotic Prostatectomy
An open
prostatectomy
might give the surgeon a better view of the surgical field. Does anyone have any wisdom to lend me so I can make a choice between open or robotic
prostatectomy
?

PSA Rising and MRI Negative
My husband PSA has been rising after
Prostatectomy
. A recent PET Scan showed cancer cells in the Prostate bed, but the MRI didn't pick-up any disease. The Oncologist is checking labs, and will start my husband on HT.Question for the group.

DRIPS AND DRIBBLES
Prostatectomy
in March 2020. Image guided radiation (39 treatments) one year ago. Lately, I began dribbling and dripping without warning. Where I used to be able to use one pad for three days, now I go through 3 pads per day! I gave up coffee and alcohol to see if the was the cause.

Rising PSA
I had a
prostatectomy
almost 3 years ago. My PSA has been undetectable (<0.01) for all that time. This week it was .02 I’m going to redo the test to make sure. Then my urologist wants to refer me to a radiation oncologist. Has anyone had any experience with this.
