Are Medicare premiums higher for people under 65?

My former commercial insurance broker had no direct experience, but had thought this was the case. The Medicare website shows $148.50 monthly premium for part B with part A being free. I'm on disability, and will be eligible for Medicare in about a year, so I want to understand what's coming.

From my knowledge the answer is no, it’s the same cost no matter the age.
