Numbers dropped?

What does it mean when your PSA blood work goes from a 9.2. to a 5.6 in a few months and your scheduled for Cyber knife on March 4th. Have had no other procedures ever except biopsies.

It means you have some prostatitis which will relapse and remit

Thank you Tall_Allen. I looked up prostatitis and have no symptoms. I would think PSA would go up, not down. I'll call my urologist today and question my latest PSA numbers.

Prostatitis is usually asymptomatic and doesn't respond to antibiotics. The see-saw pattern (up- and-down) is usually the only indicator. It did go up - how do you suppose your PSA got to 9.2? As it remits, it comes back down. It is very common, especially after biopsies.
