Hey Boys,

I rarely post on here. Here's my history:

Diagnosed 09/05, stage IV aged 45. Gleason 4+3.

Treatment path: Lupron for 2 years, seeds and 36 sessions of radiation. My PSA eventually goes up and I am put back on Lupron. Six months ago my PSA was 2.3. In August it was 8.5 and I started back on Casodex. One month ago PSA was 10.3. Last week it was 15.7. My testosterone level is non-existent at 6. So, the med is working I guess it's spreading?? Anyone gone through this?

Cheers!

Mark

So you are not detectably metastatic? Two medicines were recently approved for that - Erleada and Xtandi.

Thanks. I had one PET scan that was negative. That was ordered by my GP. My new oncologist has requested a different PET; so we'll see what happens. I have switched docs and have placed my care with Stanford University; I don't think I can get better care than that in the SF Bay Area.

Thanks. I already have a doctor there. Since it is a teaching school, there is more of a team approach and a good number of clinical trials.
