Hey Fellas, I know its been a few weeks since I posted. Just want to check in and give my feedback on some stuff I have been trying. Well, The medical pump was a bust for me. Couldn't get suction right and it only gave me a semi-cold hard on. I also bought a store one and that didn't help either. Visited Dr, Mulhall at MSK and he recommended that I begin Trimix and get full hard-ons at least twice a week to keep the penis from becoming atrophied when the nerves finally wake up. I am all for it because sex is a big part of my life and I wasn't ready to give it up. My prostate...OK...but sex life at 52 is important to me. Lastly, I am doing 5mg Cialis daily in add ion to everything and I sometimes see some good swelling. I welcome all feedback.

I'm sure that Dr Mulhall told you that some men regain some erectile function even several years later if they keep working at it. Good luck!

Yes, I'll second Tall_Allen. Some of what functioning I recovered was fairly late on, even in the second year. I've never gone the Trimix route, so maybe I could have done better. In retrospect I wish I had had more medical advice early on, so I'm glad you're getting some. You're also younger than me (damn!) so that's in your favor. Here's wishing you continued progress! I can still have a good time even if things aren't the same as before, so I bet you'll do OK!

Thanks for the update. I use water based lube around the base of the penis and on the end of the tube and I find that it maintains a seal that allows me get a hard on. They also are getting harder with time. I am injecting Caverject 10 mg once a week. It’s not hard enough yet for anal sex , ( not same night) the dose needs to be increased but I’m not seeing the consultant until 15th November. He has restricted the dose as I’m also on an anticoagulant. Although I’m very frustrated the combination of both does seem to be improving the hard on’s I’m getting. I will use the pump one night and try the injection the following.

I shaved my balls and around the base of my penis, and that helped a lot with getting a good seal.

Did you mean penile implant surgery (pump that inflates penis from scrotum)? I haven’t had prostatectomy but I am looking into all avenues.

No we are talking about a vacuum pump that goes over the penis. Have a look at this website imedicare.co.uk/en/products... . I also shave around the base of the penis.

Thanks for the updates. For whatever it's worth, my uro recommended tadalafil (generic Cialis) daily, 5mg., from a mail order pharmacy that makes its own meds ("compound" pharmacy). Relatively inexpensive ($180 for 3 mo supply). And, just bought a RESTORE pump. Still experimenting with it but initial trial was good; got desired results. LOL
