5 week post op.

I’m happy to report that my psa was zero on my follow today. It was expected but still nice to hear. There was a bit of concern about the blood in my urine. They took a urine sample and lab report to follow. My urine flow, stream is not very good which the doctor said shouldn’t be the case. Has anyone else had this experience?

Asked my doctor about a pump which he thinks is a good idea, they are going to provide me with one. Also prescribed sildenafil three times a week. Thanks to all the information on this site I at least had a clue as to what to ask for!

Thanks guys! Xoxo

Good news Davey :-)

On my next visit to doctor i am asking about a pump too. I am taking cialis once a day since I had the catheter removed... might be similar medicine - Cialis and Sildenafil - right?

Hi Paulo,

As far as I know, Sildenafil is the generic version of viagra. At least that’s what google told me!

yup generic version and it comes in 20mg tablets so doc recommends taking no more than 5 pills at a time. More affordable if you want to cut costs. Most US Health Insurance plans will not cover the cost of ED drugs even if you take them for Rehab purposes.

My insurance didn’t cover it which surprised me.

Congrats on the PSA reading! and yes, Sildenafil is generic Viagra (it is finally available in generic, wasn't for years thanks to drug co. manipulations).

Congrats on your zero PSA. 🤓 i had my first post surgery PSA test last week and my PSA was zero as well. I am curious to know what caused blood in the urine. I stopped seeing any signs of blood after about 8 weeks.

Congrats to you as well! Not sure what caused the blood. It was quite alarming when it happened as I had not had any sign of blood for the first 5 weeks. I think I might have over done the physical activity, that morning after i did my 45 minute walk i stretched and felt something in my abdomen. They took a urine sample at my post op to check for blood but I haven’t heard back from them. No news is good news I guess!
