Low blood pressure and pulse -Orgovyx and flomax -AND CIALIS?

I just finished 20 IMRT at UCLA. I am also on Orgovyx for a month.( 3 months to go) I am also taking flomax .

I am supposed to start taking Cialis .5 mg per day to keep the muscle strong. I am now starting to have major fatigue from the ADT and Low BP 96/49 , and low pulse 48. (having headaches, and dizziness (hypotension symtoms).

I was supposed to star with the cialis but afraid it will cause worse hypotension and symptoms? in addition , I am having a metallic taste in my mouth...

As an aside when is the best time to take the low dose cialis at night or morning? with or without food?

Thanks - All responses welcome..(Yes I will be asking my doc as well on monday..)

Flomax lowers BP, and so will Cialis. You might adjust to Flomax.

in general you need to be very careful combing tamsulosin(flomax), an alpha blocker, with cialis(tadalafil), because of lowering bp too low.

It is also recommended when starting tamsulosin you should start taking two hours after your evening meal because of possible bp lowering effects.

Are you taking flomax at night? The low BP could be due to the flomax. What dose did they start you with?

Usually they start you with the lowest dose, .4 mg, and increase to .8mg if .4mg isn’t effective.

Are you taking the flomax for urinary retention?

I am taking .4mg of flowmax every other day after my evening meal, and it resolved my urinary retention problem within 24 hours.

I also personally would never take flowmax and Cialis at the same time because of the Bp lowering effect of both drugs, and you should never take flomax or cialis with nitroglycerin because the combination can cause very low BP

How much flomax are you taking?

Personally I would not start the cialis until your Bp is at a higher level, and I would take the flomax at night after a meal, until your system becomes adjusted to it

Do you exercise? I’m a life long runner and my heart rate is always under 50 in the morning, BP under 100. So I need to do some cardiovascular exercises to get my system going.

While I never took Flomax or Cialas, I did have a fair amount of fatigue from ADT therapy. You are 1/2 way through, push hard to keep an exercise program going both weights and cardio, it is essential both now and after your completion of ADT.

5 days of Flomax gave me postural hypotension (BP when standing dropped to 70/50) so I just stopped. My radiation GU SE were not too bad, so I was ok without the Flomax
