PC and Chemo

I have been on Chemo for PC. My concern is my legs have been swelling. My doctor believes its the side effects of Chemo. He has prescribed Furosmide and Potassium. The medication does reduce the swelling but if I stop taking it, the swelling returns. My question is after Chemo is completed how long does it take for the side effects of swelling to disappear.

It is a very individual thing. The swelling is liquid build up in the tissue. Usual treatment are diuretics to drain the fluid out of the tissues.

Thanks Joe, diuretics was hit and miss. Sometimes they worked other times little effect. Since my last Chemo treatment Sept 7, the swelling and muscle pain is slowly going away.
