My PSA within a year went from a 3 to a 10. My biopsy showed a 7 on Gleeson scale. I have the prostate removed August 22, 2016.

Welcome! There are a lot of people here that can give support as well as information. I hope that you are recovering well. Please not that recovery time can vary. In most cases things do get better. You did not include how you are doing now and if you have any concerns. Just to get the discussion going, here is my story so far.

I was similar to you. I went from a PSA of 3.3 to 4.7 in one year. Then, in about three weeks it got over 11 (doctors still are puzzled over that). Surgery in April of 2016 (58 years old). Gleason 8, T3N1M0, Stage 4D1 Ductal ( very rare, ~0.4% of all prostate cancers). Leaking like a sieve for the first two months. Now almost no leakage. I was making great progress in the romantic area - that was until I started hormonal therapy. I am in the middle of s. radiation. Hoping I will not have to go on chemo.

Please tell the group about yourself. Please feel free to discuss any topic, even if it seems very personnel.

Two weeks in recovery, still leaking. Just last night I was urinating blood and a bit still. Called Dr. they said that's normal, periodically that will happen. Dr. said be active and lots of fluids. Saturday I'll start a low impact and low cardio. Thanks Dr. Who

I have read that just a few drops of blood in urine will be enough to make it look alarmingly red. I had some blood in urine and semen after radiation, but it cleared up within a few weeks.

Good luck with your recovery.

JPerkins......, how old are you? Age is a huge factor in PC and really determines what type, if any further treatment or monitoring needs to be done and how well or how poorly one does in relation to impotence and incontinence issues. Good Luck and keep us posted.
