Brown discharge like a period is this normal?

I am late for my period. I've done a test last week and it says positive. This is the first time I've been pregnant. I did a calculator online and it says I'm about 2 weeks. I have had some brown discharge yesterday when I went to the toilet. This morning is was slightly darker and a bit more. Is this normal this early on? I know that I'm not far into my pregnancy and I know the chances of it not taking and me miscarrying is high.
