Prednisone alternative for Glaucoma patients
For those with Glaucoma,
Prednisone
may not be good for you. For steroid responders,
Prednisone
can increase your Intra Ocular Pressure leading to more damage to your retina fiber, losing more of your vision.

prednisone taper
In the meantime, I would like to get off the
prednisone
, but not sure how to do it. My primary Dr told me to take 10 mg, but I was having some pain, mostly shoulder and upper arms, so I increased it to 12.5 for the past week. I’m gaining some weight, and think I’m getting the moon face.

taking prednisone
It scared me so much I split the
prednisone
into 3 lots, morning, lunch, tea. I want to know what’s best to take the tablets and am prepared to give another try if that is what every else is doing but to be honest it scared me. What are you thoughts/recommendations?

Prednisone Taper
This is the second time that I have jumped up from 3mg to 8mg because of severe leg and knee pain, shoulder etc and a lot of fatigue. This was recommended and works beautifully. After two weeks I am suppose to drop back to 3mg but I feel so good, I don’t want to. What do my experts think? Thank

PMR / Prednisone
It was around the time just before I stopped taking
prednisone
that I was diagnosed with prostate cancer (low level fortunately) and am receiving radiation therapy.

Is DGL licorice and prednisone contraindicated?
I have gastritis that was diagnosed well before being put on

prednisone
my gastritis is a bit more symptomatic and was looking into taking DGL licorice to heal my gut as an alternative to PPI's and H2 blockers, but Google is saying I shouldn't mix

Can PMR without Prednisone lead to GCA?
PMR without
Prednisone
doesn't "cause" GCA, but if GCA is present the
Prednisone
will reduce the inflammation thus reducing the damage caused by GCA. Not sure I have that right. Someone commented that not taking
Prednisone
if PMR present might lead to GCA. Confused.

On prednisone taper
For 2 days Ihad no
prednisone
, but when I discovered PMR, I started taking 20 mg of
prednisone
(I had some from a previous condition that I hadn’t taken). The pain went away instantly. I saw my primary doctor on January 31, when he told me to try 10 mg.

Full adrenal function at 3 mg?
This leads me to hypothesize that the "energy effect" of the 3 mg
prednisone
plus my natural cortisol is greater than 7 mg
prednisone
. However, I am curious if anyone has ever stumbled upon any information or research regarding the level of adrenal function while on a low dose of
