How is everyone coping with their PRD during lockdown?

I’m shielding so haven’t ventured out anywhere but if I had, I’m sure I’d be constantly thinking about toilet access (more than usual if that possible!). I can’t help thinking of all the people queuing up to go in shops on TV...weirdly, I always found queuing set off my bowel (tenesmus) I wondered if this was just me 🤔

Really glad to have this group to chat ❤️

Hi, I haven’t been out much in lockdown as toilets closed 😞 I also have tenesmus usually on a walk or in a shop! I’m fine at home but as soon as I get to a shop and start walking around, it comes over me. I can’t cope with the idea of having an accident. It’s so sad. I have a supporting husband and family though xx

Yeah toilets reopening (safely) is definitely going to be the deciding factor for me venturing out. Standing for too long or walking slowly seems to set my tenesmus off and I’m the same, it’s like my bowel knows when I’m in a shop it starts up 🤦‍♀️

😂😂 I know, it’s so frustrating!! My goal is to go to the supermarket and NOT need the loo!!!

I am loving working from home and being close to my own toilet as I have frequency as well as urgency and its just easier and I feel less conscious about noise and odour... My family are well used to me 😂

I am WFH and loving it. It removes so much anxiety. I have bile acid malabsorption and barely eat during work as I have so much fear so I’m enjoying being at home. I’m not going out to shops, but I know toilet access would be a concern for me.

I have to go out and to the shops as I have a 95 year old mum to support. Like us all the loo becomes such a factor of where and when I go! I find Sunday am at my Sainsburys best for me for weekly shopping as they have the 30 min browsing time starting at 9.30 and they have clean loos open!!!! Personally I wish we could adopt the idea of paying a bit more but knowing there would be someone in attendance to ensure the loos were clean and not vandalised.

Hope it’s not too long before you feel comfortable to venture out.

I've added a post with some helpful toilet tools. I'd love to know if anyone uses the toiletmap app already. I think this is a great tool and if more people use and update it regularly will be especially helpful when lockdown restrictions start to ease.
