I have a question for transplant recipients. Wondering how many of you out there have used alternative wellness applications like yoga, Reiki and acupuncture, to name a few, as a means of obtaining a semblance of balance in life. Am interested to know as I have engaged in embracing those alternative applications as a means of empowering myself when I was feeling overwhelmed by my kidney disease. Would certainly appreciate hearing back from the community and creating a dialogue on this topic. Thanks. BetterKidney4Me

Yoga, mindfulness exercises, breathing exercises, walking
etc. are all extremely helpful in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and positive attitude with any medical challenge. However, your physician and medical team direct their attention towards what is best based on the individual requiring a response. Each of us is totally different, therefore our healing or maintenance processes have to be individualized. Please keep that in mind when seeking alternative solutions to maintain your healthy lifestyle.
