24th year and still going strong (with test results to support those words)

Passing into my 24th year Oct 19th with this strong gifted heart, this was a busy week in many ways, but especially with doctor clinic visits to get tests and test results. Heart annual stress test on Wednesday went GREAT! Meeting with the cardiologists for the annual exam showed everything doing great these many years later. Yesterday met with my prostate cancer doc (treated 17 years ago!) and got results from recent 2-MRI's, bone scan and chest x-ray - all good, nothing unusual to report! Can't ask for better than that. When asked by those docs how I was doing, I replied I am feeling younger now than in recent years after having knee replacement and hip replacement making movement so pain free finally!

Sent my annual donor thank you letter on that 19th anniversary, alive today because of Roberto's sharing his heart with me still beating today. Thursday I got to share all that evidence of the success of transplant with a local nursing class that support organ donor recoveries - what a special opportunity to say thanks for their work, not only on my behalf, but on behalf of all recipients everywhere that would love that opportunity to do it in person.

Side note: two of the nurses in that class recognized me (and I recognized them) as being in the ER caring for me a few months back at our local hospital - how special to have this opportunity to thank them with this story (remember: most med staff only see us when we are sick, so seeing that patient healthy later is very special.
