Yes I believe it. I miss my hugs, both giving and getting them. I have cheated twice, my therapist gave me a hug in January, neither of us had had the shot. Our manager in the park where I live, who had covid really bad, in hospital twice, had a collapsed lung, thought he was going to die. I have had my shot now and hope I can get more hugs. My therapist 40 years ago believed in hugs, told us we need 3 hugs a day to keep us happy and healthy, Now I have to rely on myself, does not feel so good. Yes there is Hope, a light at the end of the tunnel, we just need to be patient a little longer, do the face masks, distancing and hand washing, it will end. I wish You All well......

i heard a rumor once.... friends talk... you know.... i heard that sometimes people put on this stuff... called cologne or perfume.... i've heard.... not sure if true - maybe you can confirm.... i've heard... sometimes when you hug - you can smell the cologne/perfume!!!! do you know?? did it happen for you on hug that you cheated to get ???

while social distancing is still recommended... the CDC says - if 2 people are vaccinated (after 14 days of 2nd shot) - that a mask is no longer required. this also implies that hugging would be acceptable... because you're already exchanging droplets anyway...

Sure are! And then some! A few of our Blackbirds are already feeding babies, Corvids are all gathering like mad for their partners on nests. Little birdies are dashing about all over. We have tiny Goldcrest back. It's serious chaos here at the moment, but that's the way I like it!Woken this morning by 'my' Common Gull who only comes at this time of year, knocking on my window at 6.30am! Food bill's astronomical! Think we have a visiting fox or badger too from the noises at night but it could be the otters. Mallards are on the river and think have a nest, hard to see. That's lovely to have your wren family, ours are frantically zooming all over the place, no idea where they're nesting. I'm eagerly awaiting the return of Springwatch, should be soonish . Here's partner with takeaway chips, just one of those days when I feel like nothing else. xxx

yes - the video support chat i mentioned - is peer to peer online group therapy. all of the ones i'm going to list are free. and they're really nice... can't tell you how nice it is to see and speak to a group of understanding and supporting people. i've found them VERY helpful...

Thank you! It has been a while since I've been on here, life has its ways of distracting us. Things are hard with everything going on right now but Im feeling more optimistic. I think this time of pandemic is slowly coming to a close, and like you I'm starting to feel a bit better.
Yea, the name change was forced on me by the rules of the forum but I dont mind. I saw it as an opportunity to exercise my extremly atrophied creativity muscles. I did think of changing my name to RA but I didnt want anyone to associate me with their university RA lol.

i wish i could explain - but to do so would require intimate knowledge of the 'HUG' myself... which i only know from way back hearsay, and folklore!!
i can describe the procedure - but as i said, that procedure i could teach - may not be correct.
also - i think it would be best that i was practiced in the technique - before i passed on that knowledge... ideally - i could practice the technique, and have someone with experience assess my performance - so that i could know i was qualified to teach the method!!!

I got my 2nd vax AZ yesterday, today feel like I've done 12 rounds with Mike Tyson [at his best] out of best for a couple of hours, wheezing like a donkey, whole body tired/sore, most of day in bed in pyjams at moment, even hands feel funny! so tired now can't get to sleep, mind saying one thing body ... must get sleep! Musceles whacked! never as bad after 1st vax! Going back to bed💤💤💤
Not as bad as in 1997 when given morphine for operation, out for 60 hours, allergic! effects lasted nearly six months! Operation successful! feeling woozy but more approachable almost like hangover! Yes I'm "viral-proofed"! nice one!👍
