A powerwalk around the village today including the lovely, maybe not lovely๐Ÿ˜‰ steep hill

โ€ข20 Replies

Hi all

I power walked the circuit of our village 3 times today including walking up the hill 3 times that is 17% so it's fairly steep. I use the hill as a personal challenge and it certainly gets the heart rate going. There was a little drizzle on the way back but it wasn't too bad but this afternoon it's been fairly wet and misty so I worked the timing really well.

I walked 16,678 steps, which is 8.35 miles and 661 calories burnt.

I took some photos in between doing a little bit of jogging. I was thrilled to see the first Snowdrops, Spring will soon be here. I also took a photo of someone's Camillia which was in full flower in their garden, that photo is the first reply to this post.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.

Stay safe and well.

Thank you Jerry and I was looking for the snowdrops when I went that way a few days ago and was absolutely thrilled to see them today - little things please ............. I was pleased to see the horses and also please with the distance considering it's not really walking out of the village, just on the outskirts. Yes agree, the weather isn't good and we do need some sun and dry weather to make everyone feel better.

Hope you have a lovely rest of the day Jerry and you also stay safe and well.

Lovely photos cf, is the bottom left pool fed by the Dart?

in reply to springcross

I can imagine it when all the green has grown up again to be a very pretty little spot. xx

in reply to springcross

Oh it is very pretty there and there's 2 cottages right by it xx

I meant the Dart, not the Dartmeet. I always remember when I was younger Dad stopping where the two rivers meet and it was bustling with holidaymakers buying ice creams - the area is Dartmeet.

It's ok I knew what you meant but I'm not sure. Dartmeet is a very pretty area and it does get busy, particularly in lovely weather. To be honest it'll be wonderful to see people out enjoying themselves again.๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒˆ

Oh, more snowdrops Alicia. How lovely and a sure sign that deepest darkest winter is now passing. As spring comes, and vaccinations continue, lets hope that covid19 leaves town with the nastiest weather!

in reply to

Small things please me and I was so happy to see the Snowdrops.

Winter is moving on, it'll soon be February and just one month away from the first month of Spring.

Well said, covid 19 to leave town in the nastiest weather.๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™
