Another power walk today out in the countryside - 1st set of photos

Hi all

I got out when I could because from around midday tomorrow our weather is changing to rain and it'll be like that for a good part of the week, good job I bought a Joe Wicks exercise DVD then😉😉.

I walked 21,881 steps, 10.95 miles and 867 calories burnt.

Hope you are all keeping well. Remember, this is only temporary as it will get better.

Stay safe and well.

Alicia 🌈👍😊

I particularly love the first photo... the contrast of greens, the valley leading to a glimpse of the sea beyond. Reminds me of a similar spot near to where I live.Xxx

Thank you Chrys and that is one of my favourite ones to take, it's just looking down the valley towards the sea. Sounds lovely where you live xx🌈🙏😍

Yes, I live in a rural area too and close to the sea. I walk most days but not up to your power walking standard. I particularly miss walking with my Walking Group. The social contact and sharing a similar interest with others. Oh and enjoying a meal together afterwards!

Isn't it great living in a rural area, we have the beautiful outdoors. It's good that you get out most days and it doesn't have to be a powerwalk, getting outdoors is good for you. Yes I miss my friends so I can imagine how you miss the walking group but hopefully Chrys not too much longer and having that meal as well.

Actually I'm fed up of my own cooking too. All my family are excellent cooks but definitely not me. I'm experimenting with recipes because there's time on my hands but I can't say I really enjoy it like you and Jerry. So yes, we have to look forward to better things and enjoying a meal with friends is one of them.Xx

I don't mind cooking too much fortunately, I rarely buy ready prepared as I can't consume the ingredients as I've got IBS. I've been following a low fodmap way of eating and I'm thrilled that it's worked and many symptoms are nothing like they were.

I have to say though I wouldn't mind a meal out if I could have one. I like making the sweet potato brownies I make and raw date bars.

Here's to having some normality.

Hi again, Are the potato brownies easy to make?

in reply to RoadRunner44

Pardon the on but a piece of cake to make.

minimalistbaker.com/fudgy-s...

I use 252g cooked sweet potato, 160ml maple syrup, 129g peanut butter, I don't use oil, it's not needed, 55g cacao powder (I prefer to cocoa), 68g oat flour (I make my own by grinding down oats in my food processor), 61g chopped pecans, 48g dark chocolate chips and 90ml/130 of almond or oat milk, I'm a Vegan hence plant milk. These are absolutely stunning. The recipe doesn't include milk but this makes them extra gooey.

I cook the sweet potato in the microwave in their jackets then scoop the potato out.

These are gorgeous.

Nice photos and walk always Alicia. Love how that beautiful horse is just chilling right there. Hope you have a great Sunday so far and stay safe always ❤️☮️🌸🌈🙏xxx
