Another bike ride

Hi All

I rode into the City Centre today with the idea of buying a pair of trail/running shoes with padding as the doctor did say that would be much better for my foot. I was very disappointed by what was in stock and shocked at the price hence I'm going to order online. I want our high street to survive but unfortunately is becoming more difficult to get what you need or want.

I needed a couple of other things so it wasn't a wasted journey, in fact when I ride my bike nothing is a wasted journey. I visit our local health food store and I find it's a great store and I much prefer popping in and speaking to the lovely people that work in there and actually looking at what I'm buying rather than going online.

I cycled 25.786 miles.

Anyway, I did take one photo on the way home and that was our local National Trust House, Saltram House, and I hope you like it.

Have a good evening all.

Alicia :)

Big Mansion that, and yes looks like online shopping for padded heal trainers Alicia!

I will need some shoes for winter eventually, it comes quicker then we think! Anyway rest up and have a cuppa of something girl!!! Now I wished we didn't have as many hills here and area would be flatter. Still find it hard to ride my bike here and not too often either!

Right soon tea time, speak later 🥰🙏🌈

It's a lovely house, the grounds are open but the house is shut at present.

I'm looking for waterproof ones as so many aren't and yes unfortunately Winter will be here before we know it, especially this year. I'm had 2 coffees already this afternoon, love the stuff but it is decaf as I can't drink caffeine. The hills are a challenge for me and that's how I know how fit I am, it I can't get up a hill then I worry LOL.

Yes I'd better think about what to eat, it all comes out of the freezer anyway as I make all my own meals and freeze.

Take care

Alicia :) xx

That's a really good photo cf, the grounds look lovely. Thanks for sharing. xx

Thank you and it's a lovely house and the gardens are lovely as well xx

Isn't it Jerry, you can imagine the gentry that lived there many years ago.

Isn't it great you have such a good local store that you can use and makes shopping a pleasurable experience, particularly when they know their stock.

I know I'd much rather walk into a shop but sadly we will only have one in our city centre and that's the very big one which I'm not keen on and it's expensive. The person that owns the franchise has become arrogant and too big for his boots.

Oh most definitely, fracture clinic tomorrow so I hope they dont8want to reset the bone i can't imagine being out of action.😯

That was a very good bike ride and great distance. It's nice when you have a regular store that you visit and the keepers know their regulars. I love Mansions, Stately homes, dated commercial building. I have the habit of, taking snaps on my phone, then , enlarging them, just in the event, I've captured a ghostly figure peering out the window. 😊🌸🌼

Thank you Bobby, it was a good ride.

It's a lovely house, I've never thought of enlarging the photo, what a good idea.

😊🌈🙏xx

That's a very elegant looking house Alicia and I'm glad your trip to town wasn't a waste of time. Yes, I know what you mean about the demise of our High Streets. It's just not competitive any more to shop in them. 😊

in reply to

It really is and beautiful inside. Yes unfortunately our high street is disappearing which so so sad. The internet has lots of good points but this isn't one of them.

Hey ho, we have to go with it but I will continue to buy food and medication in store.😊

Hi

A beautiful photo and a good bike ride as well. Good luck at the fracture clinic. Please let us know how you get on. Please can I ask you? When you take a photo, how do you lost it on here. I can do it with my paint by numbers as I have to download it etc but I can't seem to do it when I've taken a photo. I want to show you all a drawing our son did for my Dad for his birthday after my Mum had sadly died. It's a beautiful drawing. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

Hi Lynne

Thank you and I will.

Once you've created a post you click on the bar at the bottom of your post where it says 'add photo'. Once you've clicked on it you choose what file your photo is saved in. I have my photos on my phone so I choose file and then it takes me to the gallery.

That'll be lovely seeing that drawing.

Take care

Alicia xxxx🌈😊🌞

Hi

Thank you. I've tried that , I don't what I'm doing wrong!!! Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

in reply to

Oh no, I'm sorry it's not working for you. When I add a photo using my phone it sometimes takes a couple of attempts by clicking the file icon, sometimes the icon will just sit there but it does work for me. You may have a problem with your phone if that's what you are using.

Alicia xxxx :)

Well just to say, went mental this morning! Shopping early, meds reordered, 120 cm long flattish shoelaces bought, also found some heel cushions in my special shoe box (bits+bobs) work shoes feel much better now! Still must iron my trousers + hat, sort socks, work bras only, as you do get sweaty!

Then re-cap courses quickly. I am nervous going back to work tomorrow, I do admit!

But found comfortable facemasks, 5 in a pack for £8 in Morrisons and praying I can cope with them at work! Anyway nearly there and all done now! Think of me tomorrow please Alicia!!!!🙏🥰

My goodness, you certainly did have a very busy morning and pleased that you got so much done. I'm glad that your work shoes feel better now, comfort is the name of the game and very important, particularly when you are on your feet all the time.

I can fully understand that you are nervous, these are very strange times. I'm sure you'll be fine and soon get into the swing of a new way of doing things.

Well done on finding comfortable facemasks, I didn't think of Morrisons, I got mine online from a company in the UK and they were made in this country. I'll look at the Morrisons ones for spares.

I certainly will be thinking of you. Take care and please report on how you got on.
