Coping with life’s challenges

I normally write on here as given the kindness and understanding of many

Yesterday, I learnt an important challenge which consists of facing our anxieties head on

Life will present challenges brought to test our character to enable growth and further development

I realise given this Pandemic to appreciate and continue to strive for what is important to each and every one of us

I was able to drive yesterday and I felt a little empowered.

I realise tiny steps taking us forward can enable us to discover strengths that are lying dormant in us

These is what life challenges are all about , to test and push us and to face our fears

I still find myself being overpowered by my little Mum but I am slowly trying not to be engulfed by the power my little Mim has over me

I think we are all a work in process

I have come to understand that life is a journey and the lessons and their struggles which bring gifts of learning and self discovery along the way

Very profound Roukaya and very true. I am so pleased you plucked up the courage to drive. As my mam used to say, “ You don’t know what you can do, until you try.” The more you do a certain thing, the easier it becomes.

Dear Roukaya,

Well done with driving again, if you still need a confidence boost take a few lessons with a Driving school. let them know you are a driver, but have lost your confidence. It should particularly help if you want to use motorways again.

Keep up the good work on your confidence in general, and you will soon be up and off in any way you want to go.

Cheers, Midori

Good Afternoon

I hope you are well

I am sure you new home is looking quite beautiful

I am sure you are pleased you moved yo a new home

I am beginning to think life is also what you make of it but also in our religion we will only succeed with the blessings of God and also if something is good for us

Adversity and challenges are sent to test us to see what we are made of

only through a struggle can we really have a new appreciation for what we have

It is good that you felt empowered. It is a good feeling. Small steps can lead us to the things we want to do. It is quite manageable to take small steps when making changes or building confidence at something we are doing. It doesn't seem to out of our reach or we don't have to make drastic changes all of a sudden. So small steps are very good and they can lead you anywhere. 😊🌸🌼

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your kind words

A kind word can make a massive difference to some one who hardly interacts with the outside world

I think I am gradually learning that life is dependent upon our own efforts and the lesson is to always rise up when we fall

I think crucially to be one our person

His are you managing

You are fortunate to have your pets for comfort

I have my Mother

Her teeth are coming out

My front tooth seems it is hanging on to dear life

I was thinking my Mother will look like Nanny McPhee Senior and I will look like Nanny Mc Phee Junior

Oh, Roukaya, you have made me laugh, Nanny McPhee is one of my favorites. It's good you have a sense of humor. I am sure I have heard that the Dentist's are allowed to open on Monday, I think. I'm sure you don't look like Nanny McPhee but she is a great character. xx

Good Afternoon

My front tooth is hanging on by a thread

Again I recall Step Toe and Son

Incredible comedy

My Father would comment and say but you are quite witty

I he would say this when I would visit him in the Nursing Home

I hope you are well

Thank you for your kind words

I hope you have a peaceful weekend

Oh yes, Steptoe and Son, classic comedy, my dad would watch it and I remember it as a child. The recently showed a re-run of the series on one of the channels. I hope you have a very relaxing and peaceful weekend also. xx

Hi Roukaya, I think it really is exhilarating and empowering when we do something we are a little afraid of doing, and manage it well. I hope you'll persevere with your driving because it is a skill that can open up so much more to you in terms of getting to places including interview and job opportunities. If we build on our successes, we feel better and better.

Life is a journey, and like all journeys it can be beset with difficulties which we have to rise to meet and try to get over.

When life sent me what I'll always consider to be my biggest challenge, I went into a freefall of disbelief, panic and fear. I felt that when I landed I was at the bottom of a well-shaft and I sat there stunned for a while. Then I saw a chink of light and climbed, slowly but surely to the top and into the air. I felt exhilarated, but then I saw the mountain I had to climb. But I did it, inch by inch and day by day. And when I conquered that mountain, I knew that nothing would ever knock me down in the same way again. Overcoming adversity gives huge strength.

Stay on your journey and I'm sure you too can reach the top of your mountain! Take care Roukaya and have a great day today! 🙏

Good Afternoon

I hope you are well

Thank you for your honest account of your personal experience with adversity

I think it was the Psychotherapist who ignited something in side of me when I was told that I talk like a child because I am a child

I think with the tool of hindsight you can see first hand how far you have come since you triumphed against such an adversity

Again through this we are strengthened and capable of much more

I hope you are well

How are you managing in Lockdown

The weather is beautiful but important to realise the beauty of the weather masques the presence of the virus

Good Afternoon

How are you

Thank you for your kind words

How are you today

How have you spent your day

It is a beautiful day

Sun shining except no beach for me in the concrete landscape of where I live

But I went out and bought some cleaning materials to clean the car

My Mother is immaculately tidy I used to call her Mrs Mop

Very old school and traditional

She speaks perfect English with a slight French accent

I miss the eccentric behaviour of both parents

My Father was also quite a funny little man

He would only ever buy BMWs since he had a showdown with the Mercedes car dealership

If in the motorway he spotted an older BMW accelerating in the motorway he would actually over take the car

This he would do in his seventies

If ever I made him a cup of tea he would say

Lavely cup of tea

All of this I intend to bring to life one day in my get to be creative short stories

You always are kind and understanding to me

How have you been spending your day
