well another week nearly over and had my second B12 injection this week, have another one Wednesday, been on the Atorvastin now for a week 1 at night time, and cannot feel any difference, maybe I am expecting everything to be resolved to quickly, the pins and needles are just the same and really do not know what to do about it, I am unable to open jars or even turn the cold tap off, had to drill some wood today and had to leave it as I couldn't undo the chuck to replace the drill in it, is this something I have to put up with now am 52 or is there something wrong.... Again any advice and help would be appreciated and thank you in advance and please stay safe even though lock down is happening slowly

Take care

Mark

Hi Mark, The Atorvastatin will protect you but you won't (or shouldn't) feel any difference whatever when you begin taking them. Side effects are blessedly rare and for most people it's just another tablet to take every day. You'll have been told that B12 won't cure your condition but you should, eventually find some relief from your neurological symptoms (the tingling). You'll probably need these injections for life and your doctor should discuss their frequency with you. It's usually more often if you have neurological symptoms.

Just give things a little more time, but there's no harm in asking the person who injects you next time how long it may take to gain some relief. But it is far from instant.

Again thanks Callendersgal,

Maybe I am being impatient but these tingling in my fingers are doing my head in, and embarrassing when I cant open a jar or trying to do some simple DIY stuff, may ring this afternoon and see if I can have appointment after the nurse to see what the next step is from this, I have a funny feeling I will be starting back to work in a couple of weeks so getting the time off maybe a little difficult, again thanks Callendersgal

Hi, sorry I can't help ,but I have this pins and needles, it stops you from doing the simplest things, I woke up this morning and it was bad, I can't undo my medication bottles and it takes me forever to do it,l find it hard to accept these things and blame it on the levo ,it just restricts you from doing all the things that you have done all your life,I hate being like this and wish I'd never gone to the doctors , take care, and if you find something that takes it away can you please let me know, thanks in anticipation x

Ask you doctor if you can supplement with a 1000 mcg. B-12 sub lingual lozenge daily.

It may be helpful.
