I've posted a quotation that's really familiar to me today. And probably to a lot of other people too. It's about friendship. I've used it for ages, but I've never found out who truly first said it. It's often attributed to Albert Camus, but there's no evidence, and, to me it doesn't really sound like him at all.
Anyway, in case it's difficult to read the words embedded in the picture, it goes:
"Don't walk before me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend."
It's a simple message, but direct and I think we all need our friends so much at the moment. So let's all walk side by side and help each other in any way we can.
Have a happy weekend everyone. π

What a lovely quote, and as you say we all need friends at the moment, these are strange and challenging times we are all going through, but without our friends things could be so much more difficult.
I believe that some good will come out of this lockdown, I think we will appreciate all the simple pleasures in our lives and all the good things that people are capable of.
I hope that as the new chapter in our lives unfolds we can look back on these times and appreciate all we have and all we hold dear.
We need to learn from this experience, and with our friends and family we can and will move on with hope in our hearts.
