What's anyone done today

Went to my local shops, got a few bits of food shopping and paid a bill in the Post Office. This afternoon tackled the ironing, in between times did some shredding and cutting up old photos.

On going issue still no further forward so think tomorrow I'll be ringing GP and Boots, although I have wondered about emailing GP to see if it's awaiting approval again!!! If I do end up making phone calls I'll probably miss my reading group, which is the one social occasion I have

Hi Jennymary ,

It's nice to hear that you were able to get out and do some shopping, get the ironing done and also go to the post office today.

My day has been busy with replies to postings/comments, listening to some music, having breakfast and lunch and doing a few fixing up of my rooms. I plan to do some reading before and after dinner tonight. I will also watch some TV and do the new Word Scramble Puzzle posting for the next day.

Have a good evening and talk to you soon, again, Jenny.:-)

I went to the county hospital and collected a car full of PPE and brought it back to the local hospital.

Had three raw carrots, three baked potatoes with cheese and cabbage for lunch - and then did some shopping for a shielding neighbour.

I have not walked much lately as I cracked my heel.

Hi Jennymary

You've done well today and it's good that you've managed to get out and also tackle the ironing.

I would email the GP to check so that you are not left running around again.

I've been on a cycle ride and did some shopping whilst on the bike and did some baking this afternoon.

Have a good evening.

Take care and stay safe.

Alicia :)

I had problems with Boots a couple of weeks ago with my mum's prescription. They had me running through hoops. I wasn't happy with the service. In the end I told them I was very disappointed with their service and took great offence to them trying to blame my 80 old mum, who is in isolation, for their careless error. Whilst I am aware pharmacies are very busy at the moment they should take responsibility and be honest when they make errors. I hope you are able to get it sorted out. I've been clearing things. My spare room is now prepared ready for a coat of paint. Not sure when I'm doing that though but the room is prepared ready. xx

Sorry to read of your issues with Boots. I used to oder from GP who would send it to Boots who would text me when it was ready to be collected.

Since lockdown, and because I don't drive and didn't want to use public transport I switched to Boots online service, I order from them thry get GP approval and its posted to me. The first order was cancelled as it wasn't approved within 48hrs, the 48hrs on the re-ordered one is lunchtime tomorrow, but GP approved first order which should be with Boots, when I spoke with them yesterday I did keep using the words possibility and potentially it'll be posted this week, on the track order the approval box still isn't ticked!!!

My mum use to just pick it up from the Boots in the Tesco, she has never had problems before but they tried to make out because of her age it must have been something she had forgotten. My mum is fit with all her faculties. I was angry. They discovered it was an error made by one of their staff entering wrong details into their computer system. xx

Oh it would be too bad to miss your reading group Jennymary! I hope you can get this resolved quickly. It's not a bad plan to email your GP surgery, but I don't know that I would entirely depend on that as a solution. It might be safer and more dependable to call, but I hope you'll be able to do that around your reading group.

You've been very busy again today, and I hope it filled your time for the day.

I noticed some very black looking spots above my halogen kitchen lights and just had to deal with those (city dust from the constantly passing traffic). But after that I just relaxed and pottered.

I do hope you'll manage your reading group tomorrow. Take care. 🌸

Today has been designated a day of rest. Both my son and I are totally exhausted, after days of putting flat pack furniture together. My hip girdle feels like its trying to separate from my spine, and I'm having to use my walker indoors, instead of my stick.

Boots seems to have gone to the Dark Side since they were sold off some years back.
