Just stood for over an hour in a chemist queue to get my mums prescription only to find out it hadn't been sent down. Then went to morrisons for myself and my mum and they are still emptying the shelves, why do they do it , bloody idiots. I know all you lovely people can't do anything I just needed to write it down🤬🤬🤬🤬

One reason my be the hysteria created by the media. Yesterday the BBC scaring us with the headline "can the internet cope". The reply from the major companies "Yes we can!" Today Look East showing pharmacies apparently low on stocks implying buy as much as you can! It's a disgrace, they just want sensational stuff.

Rationing can't come soon enough for me, I won't buy more than I need, I can't get a delivery of anything, so despite the texts telling me stay at home, I either shop or starve.

Nice to see so many of us C25k'ers and other joggers out running.

Me too. It's a joy to see more trotters than dog walkers, and, an added plus, fewer "hazards" to avoid on the pavements, (sorry dog walkers I know most of you very good at clearing up but there's still a few who don't).

Yes I know what you mean . I do have a dog and always have poop bags in all my pockets🐶

How is your dog? Baby the cat is fine and enjoyed her kippers on Monday!

He's as bonkers as usual. Typical Jack Russell 🐶🐶

When I went to Morrison's this morning I had to queue to get in but thankfully they had everything I needed but I won't be going to any supermarkets unless I am in desperate need for anything from now on!

That’s such a shame Buddy, like you I can’t understand why a certain group of people feel the need to strip the shelves. But they do and we can only hope this eases off as people realise it’s really not necessary . In the meantime stay well, stay safe- and you know we’re here when you need to let off steam!

Yes they are stupid and extremely selfish as well taking more than they need leaving others less fortunate to go without!

Morrison's today said only 3 of a particular item per customer here in cardiff which was fair enough!

Even smaller online shops I sometimes order from like TheVeganKind Supermarket and SuperfoodMarket are closed. You can't even browse them now! It's ridiculous. Ocado keeps crashing. Amazon Fresh have no delivery slots for over a month. Amazon Prime are now taking a week to deliver items rather than a day. I managed to find an online fitness store that seems to be unaffected by the panic-buyers so i've had to do my weekly shop from there.

It's what we call people who started running using the c25k app😊

C25k app ? It stands for "couch to 5k". A programme designed for non runners to build up to running 5k (or really for 30mins nonstop) over 9 weeks. It's brilliant, check out the Health Unlocked website. There's a fantastic forum for support, advice and sharing the experience. I completed the programme nearly 2 years ago but still check in to see how other folk are doing.

You are right, it is insane. Rationing would seem to be the only answer.

Hi Buddy I totally agree. You complain away that’s what this site is all about letting off steam. It seems the U.K. is the only European country who is panic buying even Ireland are not panic buying. Just shows the mark of us in the U.K. well at least some of us. In saying that all with health problems and self isolating due to the virus and anyone who can’t get to the supermarket easily are exempt. I am truly ashamed of the way people are behaving.

I am so sorry to read all this, it is so rude and selfish. We have been having the same problem here in the states. I am an ex Brit and sorry to see the depth to which some people have sunk. I was born in 1942 in my Grandmothers house, during an air raid!!! I can remember the rationing. Perhaps it is time to bring it back. I still blame some of it on the shop keepers, they can limit the amount of people in the store at one time, and limit what they can buy. After 3 weeks of being in, I went out yesterday, I needed cat food and litter. I hoped they would not ration it, I got 6 containers of litter and plenty of cat food, I expect to be confined til at least the end of April. I had on a mask, surgical gloves and sanitizer, there were a few of us wearing mask, people not keeping 6 feet away from others, and even some holding arms or hands. I guess stupidity and self centeredness will always be with us. Human beings have a lot of growing up to do, but the way we are going, it will not be a virus that kills us off, it will be us.As far as I am concerned we have already started, look at global warming....I send you grown ups good health, peace, courage, love n hugs....Sprinkle 1.....
