Exercising while maintaining social distancing

Hello everyone!

Today I went for a run with the kids, them on their bikes. We kept our distance from everyone, and my youngest one just touched one fence! πŸ™Œ Overall it was a success and everyone was happy after we returned home. πŸ˜ƒ

On Monday, we will try doing PE with Joe at 9am via YouTube live twitter.com/thebodycoach/st...

I find that exercising keeps me calm during these uncertain times.

A very good way to get exercise. And so glad you are following advice about social distancing. Here (Halifax, Nova Scotia) there was a FB exchange about whether people should get their streets closed off so they could let all the children out to play safely!!!! Of course they were told this was not quite the point of keeping children out of school. When will the penny drop that what we are being asked to do, no matter how much a child might whine, is really a very small sacrifice for an exponentially greater good. When I think about it I remember the little children in the time of the Nazis who had to hide in cellars and attics and behind hidden doors for a very long time.

You've found a way to keep the children entertained and exercised, and in the long run a time when you can bond even more tightly as a family! πŸ’—

Regular working out at home is a habit for me on some non run rest days....and have just put a post up on C25K for the Off the Couch friends, focusing on indoor exercise, and with the children too!

For my Nephew and Niece, we have LIVE apps with their teachers from their school. Sometimes, it works and sometimes the live feed freezes, but they are doing the activities with the TV/laptop. :-)

I find that getting out and going for a walk is helpful as well.

Usually I go outside but if it's dangerous outside then I don't and do a fitness video indoors.

I felt loads better this afternoon when I returned from my afternoon walk as this morning I took advantage and stayed in bed until 10.30 and then got on with some cleaning and cleaned the windows which was overdue and the bathroom and after that sat down to watch a movie and when that finished out for my walk which I enjoyed.
