Pain relief for endo nightmare!
I was taking a codine/paracetamol combo &
ponstan
but as they did nothing for me consultant changed to Diclofenac suppositories, Tylex & oramorph. So far I've held off on the oramorph but the difene / tylex not great. I'm afraid that I'm running out of options... and trying to avoid A&E.

Estrogen dominance and endometriosis, advice please
So just told to take
ponstan
(mefenemic acid) 500mg 3 times Daily on period. I'm constantly exhausted no matter how much or little I sleep and as you all know the pain is just sudden and fierce and debilitating.

At my wits end and no idea what I'm supposed to do
The money I've spent on gynaecologists and all I'm getting is 'just keep taking the
ponstan
500mg 3times daily 4 days a month ' this usually leaves me zonked and now I'm supposed to find work and hold down a full-time job too! Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulder.

Thyroid and fertility
My periods are regular, but extremely heavy and painful and I have experienced incidents of flooding over the past few months and just been told to take
ponstan
. I'm tired of being fobbed off, the doctor keeps telling my my thyroid is in normal range.

Menopause/POI and endo, where can I find support?
Typical endo-er, eh (cue for the past 2 decades: oh the pill/
Ponstan
/tranexamic acid will solve that bleeding and pain -errrrm nope). I'm now having to take Utrogestan every day so that any potential endo isn't triggered.

RA...When Will I Be Me Again?
At this point I had tried naproxen,
ponstan
, paracetamol, co-codamol and codeine - nothing touched the pain! And the pain and stiffness had now spread to my jaw.

Laparoscopy and No Endo found. Really need any advice on what to do next?
My doctor had given me
ponstan
(mefac) as well as a clotting tablet to lower the amount of blood. So at 17 I decided to go to a gynaecologist just to be given the pill which didn’t work, I vomited every day and my mood was awful, I tried 3 separate pills after that which also did not work.

Pain relief ideas for a concert
I've run out of my
ponstan
forte and naproxen. paracetamol doesn't touch the pain. I've got heat pads to stick on Pre Concert but any other ideas of how I can make this pain stop so I can enjoy myself for just 4 hours? Thanks xxxx

Better pain meds?
I have to have a hot water bottle constantly - even taking it to work now - and my pain meds are failing me most of the time (I'm on
ponstan
forte, naproxen and paracetamol plus my pill.) I need something better for the pain especially early morning and evenings.

How long does a flare up last?
The gp gave me
ponstan
on Friday but it hasn’t helped much... I’m wondering if it’s a flare up or could it be something else? The gp didn’t seem to concerned the other day so maybe it’s just a flare. Typically how long do flares last?

Endo questions....
By 16 when
ponstan
wasn’t working I was put on the contraceptive pill Cilest. Stayed on it for 10 years until married and started trying to conceive. After several years of trying and tests not showing anything obvious, we eventually conceived via IVF.

Suspected Endometriosis, but Gyno won't do surgery
After nothing showed up on any of my multiple ultrasounds or MRI, his course of action was to prescribe me
Ponstan
and the pill. When I asked about a laparoscopic surgery he said they would only consider doing this if I was having trouble getting pregnant as it's a risky surgery.

I'm also currently prescribed Solpadol and
Ponstan
Forte to relieve the pain but it only helps occasionally! I'm hoping to find out more about the coil and hopefully give that a go soon!

Appointment Advice please (Manchester)
Saw my GP and she gave me some tablets -
Ponstan
but they did nothing. During an MRI scan for a back issue they discovered a couple of cysts on my ovaries so I was sent for an abdomen and internal ultrasound. They kind of hinted at endometriosis. I got referred to gynaecology.
