Hi ToneI. I think you are brilliant I'm a bit younger than you, I'm a landscape gardener and still garden and know how hard it is to keep going and get a job done.sometimes the mind is strong and body lets one down a bit so keep at it,there is the autumn clear up and sprouts and cabbages to be planted.

All best wishes, Mossie

Hi Tone,

So nice to hear from you. Still out there, getting it on big time, and, although with some pain you are obviously functioning rather well.

Pats.

Hi Tone

It's great to hear you are still able to garden at the age of 80 even with PMR. I'm a keen gardener, a lot younger than you and have been diagnosed with PMR and GCA. For a while after I went on to Pred I was given a new lease of life, stamina levels and energy were so much higher than had been for over a year. However, things have slowly slipped back, sometimes I am exhausted after just ten mins of gardening. I've come to the conclusion that this is how it's going to be for the duration, some days good, others bad.

I sound a little negative, I know, but so many people have told me I should listen to my body and not try to do too much.

Hi GreyOwl

Was diagnosed PMR and GCA last November and have learnt that this disease does not get better day by day...its a roller coaster, but as my rhumie said ' it is cureable but it takes time and you have to be patient'.
