Hello Harry, sorry to hear you are in pain again. First thing I have to say is that I'm not medically qualified so can't say anything too categorical. To some extent it depends on where in your back you are feeling the discomfort. If it is lower back pain there's a good chance that it is something else that is causing the trouble. If the pain is in the upper back it might be the PMR symptoms rearing their ugly head again with referred pain from the shoulders. Maybe there's a problem with your bed or the pillow. I found a memory foam pillow really helpful when I was coming off the pred. If it goes on I would ask to see a physio. Hope this helps.

I too suffer with upper back pain but hopefully it will go as the illness progresses! Fingers crossed and thanks for your post Kate xx

Hi Harry,

Listen to Kate. She has the experience to guide you. I too am still locked in combat with pmr and do not have back pain.

Good luck, Pats.
