Under new management, Hastings and Rye support group

Owing to other commitments Caroline has handed over the Hastings Support group to me and I am planning to meet very soon in Hastings for any folk in the Hastings and Rye area who suffer with PMR or GCA.

We are a small friendly group with various experience of these conditions. We will be meeting monthly, starting next Friday 4th October at 2pm (till about 4) and continuing on the first Friday of every month. I am open to suggestions as to where we meet but it must be accessible by public transport so for our first meeting I am proposing the cafe at M and S in the Priory Meadows centre in Hastings where there is good parking and buses right outside.

I helped set up the Yorkshire group 7 years ago and am still an active member. I have gained far more than I have given by being part of the group. We met yesterday in a cafe in a shopping mall in Sheffield - you need to find a quite corner. ☕

Well done for taking over - several groups have folded over the years. 🌻

Excellent pun there Rugger. TBH I have no idea what I have volunteered for but without my pony I have time on my hands and personally I have found a need for being with others who understand our ailment which is not always very obvious to our nearest and dearest.

I know who to turn to for suggestions for our group 😜
