It's been 2 months since my last confession!

Hello.

I hope you're all coping with the heat and the summer that has finally arrived.

2 months ago I started to taper down towards 9mg from 10mg. This last cycle is/was 4 x 9mg and 3 x 9.5mgs. I am doing very well, haven't noticed the drop at all. I had blood taken this morning and the results have just dropped into my inbox. My CRP is down to 3.8 from 5.9 2 months ago.

I put some of this down to reducing Gluten to a bare minimum (and therefore bread, as in no bread) and have cut out 95% of sugar. I've lost 5 kg. I have aches and pains but they're as I would expect at 69 years old. Nothing PMRy.

I'm planning, on Friday, to begin the new week with 9mg on 7 days. I'll keep to this for 2 weeks and if all goes well, I'll start slow taper to 8mg. My next rheumy appt is in November. I'll be pleased to be at 8mg completely by then.

The photo is from late May, viewed down the valley from the garden. nearest I'll ever get to a mountain view lol

Bonne soirée

The view is lovely - thank you! I would advise dropping using DSNS tapering but try dropping by only half a mg I have been doing that and I am now down to 3 and a half. All the best!

Hi IdasMum. I bake my own gluten-free bread, and have cut sugar and salt right back. That's stabilised my weight and am hoping to lose more as I reduce pred. Lovely photo - those look like thunder clouds building! Hoping for storm soon here in Wiltshire.

I'm in the northern UK and perished!! Wearing what I wear in winter at home!!! But at home it is running at 31/32C halfway up the mountain - that's too much of a good thing!!!!
