Since having my second Astra Zeneca Covid vaccine two weeks ago. I keep getting an ache in both arms it starts off slowly builds up then eventually fades away, but it comes in waves throughout the day and is quite painful.
I currently take 3mg Prednisolone, could I be having a flare up.
I have been on this dose for six weeks.
That is the sort of time it might take if the dose is just a tiny bit too low - it takes time for the inflammation to build up. It could be coincidence it came after the jab.
What dose would you suggest I go up by
At this stage try going back to the previous dose - 4mg? As DL says, YOUR disease needs what IT needs - not what the GP thinks it should be. You are never reducing relentlessly to zero, you are looking for the lowest effective dose, that gives the same result as the starting dose did. It may be you get to zero - but not necessarily yet. You have done very well getting to under 5mg in 15 months - the median is 18 months. Your GP needs to sit back - a touch of masterly inactivity often does the job.
Maybe, could try a small increase and see if that helps.

On Feb 28, I was 10 days past second Covid Jab when I recognized I was at the beginning of a pretty intense flare...just now coming out of the worst part and tapering down to 12 mg pred, from a brief time on 20.I had been at 6 mg when I had the last injection.
Don't know if immunization caused the reaction, but it was coincidental, and pretty dramatic.
