I have just stopped taking Prednisolone- yippee. As long as this remains the case, I am only taking 15mg MTX once a week, Alendronic Acid once a week and Warfarin / a Statin at night. I have had no issues whatsoever with acid reflux so I’m wondering whether I could leave off the Omeprazole. I emailed the rheumatology dept at the hospital but got a reply which just stated that I would have my next follow up appointment in February. Not very helpful.
Should I try stopping the Omeprazole and see what happens or continue taking them. I have reduced from 2 tabs to 1 with no change.

No - you need to taper it very slowly to reduce the risk of rebound acid production. Something like the DSNS approach might work well but it should be slower than just halving for a week and stopping.
I started on 60mg back in August 2019. I haven't had any problems with MTX, only the fact that I can't have a glass of wine on MTX Thursday, as I call it!
Blimey, I actually try to always look on the bright side and have never thought about the issues you list, certainly not death. When I was diagnosed in August 2019, after a stroke and a heart attack, I was only too grateful to be alive, and was happy to take anything that the doctors gave me, if it meant I would recover. I hope you are as lucky as I am.
I am fine on a weekly dose of alendronic acid. I’ve never noticed any side effects.
Omeprazole I'm informed isn't one of the nicest of drugs to have to take.I thought it was only used for Reflux (my husbands suffers) My rheumy told
me they're prescribed to prevent Ulcers and Stomach Bleed. I've never suffered heartburn or anything similar. However, to be a good girl I did start to take back in Dec 2019 when diagnosed with PMR, but reading the side effects decided I'd just take one here and there....like every two days or so. My husband lost all the hair on his legs, and so have I, not that I'm bothered about that, in fact I'm pleased. I have found since taking it that I
belch a lot now. Never took the Alendronic Acid either...I am a rebel !!
I am still waiting on the result of my Dexa scan that was taken on 5 Nov.
Whatever is taking all this time I ask myself. No point putting drugs into my system if they're not needed.
