Well, now that the government have decided we must wear face masks and I am plucking up courage to go to a shop, please has anyone found a mask that will fit my pred moon face? The ones I have tried are all too small and either pull my ears forward or ping off across the room! I'm no sewer and with arthritis in both hands, no knitter either. Thanks.

I have been trying various masks and one that is probably not a kosher mask I find really comfortable is from Timmy Mallett's shop. timmymallett.co.uk/shop/ Scroll down to FaceMask/Bluff. It is quite pricey at £10.95 inc delivery though.
If you google large face masks you get a lot of options for bigger sized face masks. For instance ETSY have then. Quite inexpensive. Mine bought randomly, vary quite a lot in size and comfort.
Etsy is abroad i ordered something for my daughter it took weeks and was broken on arrival i think its switzerland or denmark
They were however really good and fully refunded
There are little businesses all over the world under the banner of ETSY, including the U.K. I am waiting for something from Mexico at the moment. I haven’t had any negative experiences either except swerving high postage charges from the USA, once.
I ordered a couple from Etsy. They were made in UK and arrived in 3 days. Different sizes and quite a range of patterns. Comfortable and with section for extra insert if needed.

I have a set of these - I also find they fit well and are light. I don't have a proper moonface but do comply with "chubby cheeks"!

Do you find they work well with spectacles? My current one doesn't fit well around the nose bridge and I am constantly "fogged up"!

I don't have much trouble with foggy specs - I suppose the position I put the mask leaves a small space for the breath to escape. I have less trouble with my sunglasses which are a deeper lens - the frame sits well down over the mask.
There are suggestions on the web for dealing with the condensation problem. One I saw the other day was to smear liquid soap over the lenses and let it dry. Expert tips can be seen here:

I found dozens of patterns on the internet, Easy to copy or even draw freehand. They are simple designs. I have modified a couple patterns to allow plenty of (moon) face room for myself and others.
We got pretty fabric and stitched up lots of them, in colors and patterns that make us happy.
If you ask about, you may be surprised to find someone you know, who can make some just for you.
The fabric required is equivalent in size to two sheets of typing paper. I have also cut up some unfavorite shirts, and used that material. The sewing part is straight seams, and with a little practice, takes about 20 minutes.
Fabric stores can help you find fabric glue and iron-on tape, which will work fine for the simple sewing tasks of masks. The same fabric store staff can probably give you plenty of advice, tips and support, if you would like to learn to make your own masks.
One thing I find, is with quarantine and stay- home time, I have time to learn new hobbies.

I have Ocean View masks.
However my Cousin could not be talked into a mask. So Patra Silk, do neck warmers and they pull up to over your nose. Leaving your ears free. Did they work for Cousin who is 89 and has dementia............no problem at all. I think the problem was the masks were too tight and as she has hearing aides the 'pull over the ears' was just a step too far.
Not that we have been anywhere since we locked down two weeks before the UK got its act together............and still not going anywhere except the garden.
I've got a pack of the multi use headbands from Amazon. Can use them to pull up over the chubby cheeks and for lots of other things like covering my hair or putting under my cycle helmet to stop the velcro aggregating my forehead 
I’m assuming those of us on here are looking to protect ourselves as well as others on the off chance we’re asymptomatic.
I know there is a lot of eqivocation as to whether we can protect our selves but there are lots of masks out there that certainly won’t.
Quite like those, like Pucker, that have a filter as long as the inner and outer layer are also up to standard.

If you can't find N95 filters to insert, you can use coffee filters or vacuum filters cut to fit the pocket. These are not medical grade masks, but are sufficient for wearing indoors in non-crowded areas and outdoors on a walk (with or without the dog). Remove and toss the filters and drop the mask in the sink with warm water and dish soap to soak when you get home. Let them drip dry over the tub or shower.
We made hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of these back in March and April when no masks could be found at any price. We couldn't even get elastic for the ear pieces, and so substituted shoe laces or gross grain ribbon.
We made them available at hospitals, clinics, markets, schools etc. by leaving them in boxes with the message "Don't be a victim and don't be a vector" and "Take what you need". I still recognize some of them being worn around town.

There aren't enough medical grade masks to go around to give a measure of protection to health care workers who are working in virus-saturated environments.
For the rest of us, you don't wear a mask to protect yourself from others. You wear a mask to protect others from you.
Any barrier will slow down the velocity of the molecules you exhale, whether by breathing, talking, shouting, singing, coughing or sneezing. That's why we used two or three layers of fabric and added coffee filters or cuttings from clean HEPA vacuum cleaner bags when no other filter material was available.

You don't need to measure molecules in microns to understand that when you exhale into a mask vs. no mask, much of what you exhale will slow down and travel a shorter distance, hopefully falling into the empty space you have left between yourself and others, limiting to some extent the viral load you pass on to others.
That may not be biology. But it is physics.

A comparitivly, Little Used, Resource is your Local Pharmacy. Pharmacist are actualy Highly Qualified People- but, harly 'anyone' thinks of using them.
Without being, in any way, 'funny' with you.... take your 'moon face', into the Local Pharmacy, and just ask. You might, very well, be pleasantly surprised.

If what you say is true, then why aren't the hundreds of millions of people who wear masks when in the company of people outside their households experiencing these so-called negative effects, and why aren't the hundreds of millions of workers who routinely wear non-medical face masks in the due course of their employment - year in and year out - reporting these negative effects?
I get it. Masks are uncomfortable. If not properly adjusted, your breathing can be slightly effected (assuming you don't already have respiratory issues). Here in New York where it's currently hazy, hot and humid, I'd rather go without. But I won't. Because it is my responsibility to do whatever I can to keep my germs to myself.
If you cannot or will not comply with this simple measure, then you should stay home and stay away from other people, no exceptions and no excuses.
