Sinus pain or gca

My husband (78) has had a really bad cold/cough for 8 days now. He keeps complaining of a sore scalp and a niggly pain on left side of head. 4am I phoned 111. Said I was scared he may have gca. They said it was probably sinus pain. Got through to gp and she is sending antibiotics. Can sinus pain be in the top if your head? Feel very nervous in the current circumstances.

My sinuses are at the front of my head!! And sinusitis is not scalp pain ... However - given what you have described it may not have been an unreasonable assumption under the circumstances.
