Hi ...I’m new to this site but have been following it since I was diagnosed with PMR in June last year. My symptoms disappeared a couple of days after starting on Prednisone and I have taped slowly....I’m now down to 3 mgs. Yesterday I was sent home from work ...although I am well ...as having an underlying health problem. Is it the fact that I have PMR or the fact that I’m taking steroids. You all seem to be so knowledgeable that I’m sure you can help. I’m going out for lots of walks but avoiding crowds if I can .

Hi Mtr, I would suggest all of the above. If you read pmrpros various posts and the daily chat, the autoimmune condition you have, us the treatment make you vulnerable. You should be socially distancing at the very least. It is hard especially if you are alone, but social isolation us the best if you can do it.

Because we are keeping covid questions to a main thread I am turning off replies but you can just use the reply box in the covid chat tdaily thread to ask any questions..🌻
