Thin skin

Can anyone help with a recommendation for skin like tissue paper on front of both legs .I cream legs daily ,but wonder if there is more I could be doing .I get skin tears quite easily.As I have now been on quite high doses of steroids for over 4 years.I just use the body shop cream at moment!

Try Diprobase or Doublebase products - they are used for eczema patients and if you are lucky your GP may prescribe them but they are available OTC at the chemist. You use them after showering, applying them to the damp skin to keep in the moisture. Some products are for showering - they reduce the drying out of the skin. Personally, I and a couple of others who have little in the way of skin problems stopped using soaps years ago - nothing, not even cleansers, that foams. That just strips out the natural oils from the skin. We also don't wash our hair more than once a week, I go a couple of weeks. It takes time to get there but it is possible.

I am not brave enough not to use cleansing products but have found doublebase gel has really helped. I ordered online and picked up at a local chemist. It was £8 or so and it has lasted 9months. Just ready for a new one.
