GCA Numbness

Hello, I was recently (August) diagnosed with CGA. I have a numbness down one side of my face. The numbness is around where they did the biopsy. It gets worse under periods of stress and physical exertion. It does seem to be a little better over time. Does anyone have information on this?

I had a biopsy in June and get numbness and also the sensation of blood flowing into the area of the biopsy,it tends to come and go but definitely more noticeable if I’m tired, lots of healing still taking place, saying that don’t ignore it if you have other cause for concern, I have mentioned it to gp and consultant and they weren’t concerned, I had numbness prior to diagnosis, probably one of the first symptoms along with the horrendous head pain and sensitive scalp

When they do the biopsy there is bound to be damage done to nerves in the surrounding area and until they heal the skin is often numb. I have a numb area around a scar on my knee from 26 years ago! Most scars hurt more when you are tired for any reason.
